We believe the organizational church has been influenced greatly by an idol that is called the church. This idol is recognized by how it takes the place of Christ in many ways and blinds christians to serve it rather than Christ. We see churchianity instead of Christianity in many places.

Many people say the body of Christ is the church - but what we see today as the church cannot be the body of Christ, because it is far from scripture. There are many beautiful Christians in the organizational church but that does not make it any less an idol.

The body of Christ is the 'pure' assembly of Christ, "in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple [sanctuary] in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit" Eph 2:20-22
